About the Role
We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and compassionate Personal Care Assistant to support a private individual in their home. This is a part-time role focused on mobility assistance, companionship, and helping maintain independence in daily life.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with mobility and moving safely around the home
- Supporting with safe manual handling, including lifting and carrying where required
- Driving the client to appointments and local errands
- Assisting with shopping and light daily tasks
- Providing companionship and emotional support
About the Client
- Age: 51
- Health conditions: Arthritis and asthma
- Additional needs: Requires physical support with mobility, including lifting assistance using appropriate manual handling techniques
Candidate Requirements
- Experience with manual handling, including confidence in safe lifting techniques (e.g. fireman’s lift)which is a key part of the role
- Fluent spoken English
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
- Kind, patient, and positive attitude
