1.1 My Lighthouse (“Lighthouse”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a UK-based software platform providing tools and administrative assistance to individuals who directly employ carers and to self-employed carers.
1.2 Lighthouse is a software and administrative support provider only.
1.3 Lighthouse is not:

2.1 By creating an account, purchasing services, or using the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2.2 If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the platform.

5.4 Responsibility for verifying credentials and making employment decisions rests with the hiring family.
6.1 Lighthouse facilitates DBS applications via authorised third-party umbrella providers.
6.2 Lighthouse does not conduct DBS checks itself.
6.3 Lighthouse is not responsible for:
6.4 Clients must ensure lawful authority to request and process DBS checks.
7.1 Employment contracts and templates are provided for convenience only.
7.2 Lighthouse does not provide legal advice.
7.3 Users remain responsible for ensuring compliance with employment law.
8.1 Fees for services are displayed on the platform.
8.2 Payment must be made in advance unless otherwise agreed.
8.3 Lighthouse does not hold or process client payroll funds.
8.4 All fees are non-refundable unless required by law.

11.1 All platform content, branding, templates, and software remain the property of Lighthouse.
11.2 Users may not reproduce, distribute, or modify materials without permission.
12.1 Lighthouse aims to maintain platform availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted service.
12.2 Lighthouse may suspend or update services without notice where necessary.
13.1 Lighthouse provides software and administrative support only.
13.2 Lighthouse is not liable for:

13.4 Nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where required by law.
Users agree to indemnify Lighthouse against claims arising from:

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
