This is a permanent visiting care position for a 71-year-old client who has experienced a stroke. The client requires support with household tasks, meal preparation, and outdoor activities. This role would suit an adaptable carer who is keen to learn and comfortable working flexibly with a client and their family.
Key responsibilities
The carer will visit the client's home and undertake the following responsibilities:
- Buy groceries and prepare vegetarian meals
- Household tasks including cleaning and laundry
- Support the client with walking outside
- General help around the home
About the client
Age: 71
Medical conditions: Stroke
Additional support needs: Help around the house, cooking, and walking outside
Household: The client has support from their husband. The home is smoke-free and pet-free.
Working pattern
2 - 4 hours per week
Tuesday or Thursday afternoons
Requirements
Essential:
- Care Certificate qualification
- Fluent English speaker
- Full UK driving licence with access to own car
- Experience preparing vegetarian meals
