A private family is seeking a reliable and organised visiting carer to support a 91-year-old client with cancer, dementia, and heart failure. The ideal candidate will be calm, methodical, and experienced in medication management and daily care routines. This is a permanent role working ~10 hours per week on a flexible afternoon schedule. If this works well, it could increase.
Key responsibilities
The carer will visit the client's home and undertake the following responsibilities:
- Manage and administer medicines
- Buy groceries and prepare meals
- Undertake household tasks including cleaning and laundry
- Provide friendly companionship and emotional support

Age: 91
Medical conditions: Cancer, dementia, and heart failure
Work environment
The client's home is smoke-free and the client is a pet owner. Note: This role does not include pet care.
Working pattern
~10 hours per week, afternoons Monday to Sunday, 5.30pm–7pm but flexible
Requirements
Language: English (required)
Qualifications:
- Care Quality Commission (CQC) mandatory training
- Care Certificate
