Key responsibilities
The carer will visit the client's home and provide support with the following:
- Assistance with hygiene and toileting needs
- Support with showering and personal care in the bathroom
- Skincare treatment and management related to the client's autoimmune condition
About the client
Age: 64
Medical conditions: Diabetes, Pemphigus vulgaris (autoimmune disorder affecting the skin), and wheelchair user
Health and mobility: The client has limited mobility but can carry out transfers independently. Due to a compromised immune system, they rarely leave the house and require specialist support with skin care management.
Living situation: The client lives with their partner, who provides the majority of their care.
Work environment
The client's home is a smoking environment. The client is a pet owner, though pet care is not included in this role.

Essential qualifications and skills:
- Care Certificate or equivalent
- Fluent English speaker
- Reliable and conscientious approach to care
