A private family is seeking a visiting carer to support their 75-year-old mother with household tasks and transportation to medical appointments. This is a permanent part-time role, offering 2-4 hours per week on a flexible basis. Key responsibilities

The carer will visit the client's home and undertake the following responsibilities:
  • Household tasks including cleaning and laundry
  • Providing transportation to hospital and doctor's appointments (via pre-arranged transport such as Uber, paid for by the family)

About the client

Age: 75
Medical conditions: Arthritis, heart failure, and hearing difficulties
Additional health needs: The client is currently under hospital care for bowel-related health concerns.
Other information: The client is somewhat forgetful and is supported regularly by family members. The client's son currently lives in the home but will be moving out in July, which is why additional care support is needed.

Work environment

The client's home is smoke-free and pet-free. The property has a stair lift which the client can operate independently.

Requirements

Essential qualifications:
  • Care Quality Commission (CQC) mandatory training

Working pattern
