The carer will provide practical support with mobility around the home and dialysis machine maintenance. The client lives with his partner and new baby, and care will be needed when his partner travels away from home.
Key responsibilities
The carer will visit the client's home to:
- Help with mobility and getting around the home
- Clean and reset the dialysis machine after use
- Provide general support to the client

Age: 44
Medical conditions: Kidney disease
The client manages home dialysis at night before bed, with support during the dialysis process. The machine requires cleaning and resetting each morning after the client gets up. The client lives with his partner and new baby, and will require support during periods when his partner is away from home.
Work environment
The client's home is smoke-free and pet-free.
Working pattern
14 - 18 hours per week
Monday to Sunday, 8pm - 10pm
Requirements
Essential:
- Fluent English language skills
- Full driving licence and access to own vehicle
- Care Certificate
- Current CQC mandatory training
Desirable:
- Experience working with kidney disease or dialysis care
